Turbopumps are critical to launch vehicle rocket propulsion, allowing a larger opportunity for motor development and thrust, as well as increased performance.
LENA Space was awarded a National Space Technology Programme grant in April 2017 to develop a turbopump based on high test hydrogen peroxide (HTP) motor of approximately 140 kN thrust. Lockheed Martin UK are acting as customer support for the programme. LENA is in discussions with partners to design and test an additive manufactured (AM) version of the turbopump.
LENA will host a demonstrator event in 2018. If you are interested in attending the showcase event* or finding out more please contact us below.
*There are a limited number of tickets available for the showcase event and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
